Biography

Christine is an expert in international relations, strategy development and public policies in arts, media and culture. She is a social scientist with over twenty years of international experience in policy analysis, project management and human development, advising the Government and Parliament. Her experience includes technical assistance and cooperation projects in Tunisia, Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, Lebanon, Mauritania, Senegal, South Africa, Bangladesh, China, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Turkey, Romania, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kirghizstan, as well as regional assignments (MENA, 2012-2018 CONNEXXIONS, 2015-2018 SouthMedCV). As member of UNESCO’s Expert facility, she was Senior Government Adviser for Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria (2016-2020). Christine authored some sixty publications, including the media diversity chapters in UNESCO’s Global Reports “Re/Shaping Cultural Policies” (2018, 2015). Between 2002 and 2021, as head of the Division for Culture, Communication and Memory of the World at GCU, she regularly contributed to international conferences (2005-Convention Bodies, Internet Governance Forum), programs and expert networks around the globe, and ensured the liaison with seven national ministries and 16 state level authorities as well as convening the civil society consultations on the 2012, 2016 and 2020 Quadrennial Periodic Reports..Christine holds an Advanced diploma in IT-Systems, Analysis and Design (University of Oxford) and a Higher diploma in Psychology (University of Freiburg). Most recently, she co-authored a report as part of the EU Open Method of Coordination Group  on sustainable development and culture entitled “Stormy Times.
