Description of the policy/measure
Association for arts and culture of baucau (aacb) is considered as a center of artists and cultural professionals in order to promote them in the municipality of baucau. this association took the initiative to carry out artistic and cultural event for local artists to express their creativity and artistic products. in addition, through this association, it opens space for artists and cultural professionals to obtain income from their products and maintain cultural values to sustain the creativities that have been planned and programmed. searching for partnering with state entities with state entities, including national and international organizations, allows creating space for artistic creativity, involving local artists in events such as fairs, festivals, concerts and other cultural activities. hereby, facilitate the mobility of artists and cultural professionals from local to national and international level.

Reported achievements include; 1. the association has mobilized artists and cultural professionals in the area of music, audiovisual, media arts, traditional dance, performance of arts, and visual arts; 2. has been realized an event of “competicao dos moradores” in municipality by mobilizing 142 cultural professionals through competition of traditional march, with the aim to build cultural identity and to transmit to the next generation to continue promoting the diversity of cultural expressions; and 3. local artists and cultural professionals have participated in various events in the municipal and national level;
