Description of the policy/measure

The government in cooperation with the developed country support the mobility of artists and cultural professionals through the following programs: 1. the festival lusofonia in macao 2. indonesia cultural center's program for artist mobilization; the festival lusofonia in macao is one of the macao institute for culture program in supporting the introduction of portuguese speaking countries culture in its territory. many cultural groups in timor-leste have been supported annually to participate in the event to introduce timorese cultural performances through music, dances, poetries and cultural craft expositions. in addition, the indonesian cultural center in dili has a program to support the mobilization of artist and cultural professional, offering opportunity for many artists and cultural groups to participate in 17 august, commemoration of indonesia national day, and providing scholarship to young timorese to study in indonesia.

Results achieved

Reported achievement include: 1. timor-leste through the benefited groups are able to promote and make feasible timorese diversity of cultural expression in the international scope, especially for the community of portuguese speaking countries; and 2. in sum of 42 students are beneficiated to participate in the scholarship program offered by the indonesian cultural center;
