Endline Study Report for Can't-Wait to Learn (CWTL) programme in Refugee Settlements in Uganda
Executive Summary, This report presents the findings of the Endline Study conducted on the Can´tWait to Learn CWTL programme implemented in three refugee settlements Kyaka II Nakivale and Oruchinga as part of the Accelerated Education programme AEP in Uganda Over a period of 12 months September 2019 to September 2020 with interruptions due to COVID19 the CWTL activities were implemented to support children´s literacy and numeracy competenciesThe evaluation aimed to assess the performance of children in the CWTL programme and evaluate its relevance efficiency emerging impact and sustainability Data on learning outcomes were collected using the Early Grade Reading Assessment EGRA Early Grade Mathematics Assessment EGMA and Measurement of Early Learning and Quality Outcomes MELQO tools The study findings focused on literacy numeracy learning and early learning quality outcomesThis evaluation provides valuable insights to inform learning improve future programme design and contribute to the enhancement of the CWTL programme´s impact on children in refugee settlements The findings will support decisionmaking and enable ongoing improvements in the programme´s effectiveness and educational outcomes in similar contexts
