Operation Cirirí, Lalinde Family Documentary Archival Fonds
Operation Cirirí is the name that Fabiola Lalinde and her family gave to the process of seeking justice for the forced disappearance and homicide of her son Luis Fernando Lalinde Lalinde in events that occurred on October 3 1984 in the village of Verdún in the municipality of Jardín department of Antioquia Colombia in which the responsibility of the State was demonstrated This is acknowledged in the ruling of the Council of State Action for direct Reparation docket 0500123260001990051970119939 of September 27 2013 and in resolution 24 of 1987 of the InterAmerican Commission on Human Rights Case No 9620 declaring that the Colombian State violated the right to integrity of Luis Fernando LalindeFor thirty years Fabiola Lalinde and her family not only worked tirelessly to find out the fate of Luis Fernando but based on their experience they supported other victims of this scourge They thus managed to gather a unique file consisting of manuscripts photographs maps identity documents as well as the different complaints and actions filed by Fabiola herself to obtain information about the disappearance and death of her son This file constitutes a legacy and a source of information for all those people and communities that want to know both about this particular case and about the references of the investigation of a widespread phenomenon in Colombia
