14th Meeting of the Scientific and Technical Advisory Body (STAB)

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) organizes the 14th meeting of the Scientific and Technical Advisory Body (STAB) for the Convention on the Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage. This event will take place on 15 June 2023 at UNESCO Headquarters in Room XI, providing a platform for scientific and technical experts, nominated by States Parties, to gather and discuss matters pertaining to the underwater cultural heritage.

The main focus of the meeting will be on cooperation with the IOC, STAB scientific missions to State Parties as well as technical assistance to States. The preceding Meeting of States Parties to the 2001 Convention will set the framework for the discussions and deliberations that will take place during the course of the event.
