Coming soon: New MOOC on International Standards on Freedom of Expression and Safety of Journalist for judicial actors

Are you a judge, prosecutor, lawyer, a representative of a judicial training institute, or a legal actor?

Do you want to learn more about freedom of expression, its legal frameworks, access to information, the safety of journalists, and challenges to free speech in the digital age?

UNESCO and the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights at the University of Oxford, will be soon be launching a new version of MOOC for judicial actors on the international and regional standards relating to freedom of expression, including press freedom, access to public information, safety of journalists and challenges created by the digital world.

Join over 25,500 judicial actors trained on these issues, by enrolling in this new Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on regional and international standards of freedom of expression!

 

[Course Schedule]

The course will run from May 29th to June 30th, 2023, for a total of five weeks. There will be five online modules per week.

[Languages]

The course will be available in seven languages: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.

[Target Audience]

The course targets legal professionals within the global judicial system (such as judiciary departments, public commissions, public defenders, electoral courts, human rights monitors, and legal services personnel), as well as journalists, scholars, and other professionals worldwide.
