Education 2030 High-Level Steering Committee Meeting

The SDG4 High-Level Steering Committee Leaders Group meeting on 8 November will serve as an opportunity to report on country progress towards SDG4 targets and to review transformative actions of countries as part of the follow up to the Transforming Education Summit. 

The meeting will have a segment focusing on transforming education finance, including the endorsement of a set of proposals on improving multilateral financing of education. Progress on thematic work strands will be also discussed, such as the recommendations of the High-Level Panel on the Teaching Profession and the global youth work. 

Upcoming opportunities for highest-level political advocacy around education will be also be deliberated on, in view of major global summits in 2024-25. 

The meeting will close with the adoption of a set of decisions and the announcement of the new membership of the High-Level Steering Committee for the years 2024-25.
