On the occasion of the European Museum Night on Saturday 13 May, UNESCO Headquarters will open its doors from 6 pm to midnight.
In addition to its rich architectural and artistic heritage, this year the Organization will offer a series of cultural activities dedicated to Africa.
In the second half of the evening, the guest of honor of this edition, Michael Canitrot, DJ producer and founder of the project "Monumental Tour", will present "Light Odyssey", an artistic performance mixing electronic music and lighting, with an interactive scenography signed by Collectif Scale.

Programme and activities
From 6pm:
- “African Folk Tales Reimagined": Six short films, winners of the UNESCO-Netflix competition, which highlight the richness of African cultural heritage, will be screened in the Headquarters cinema.
- Presentation of sculptures from Africa: These works of art from the Organization's collection will be accessible to the public for the first time.
- Exchanges with experts on Africa (at 7 pm and 9 pm): Two meetings will allow visitors to discuss with experts of the Organization.
- Choreography and gastronomy: The dances and percussions of the Kongo Ballets company, based on traditional rhythms, will punctuate this exceptional evening and the "New Soul Food" food truck will propose African-inspired dishes.
From 10pm:
- Electro showcase by Michael Canitrot: Combining electronic music, modern digital scenography, and classical architecture, this immersive performance celebrating cultural heritage will allow the public to discover UNESCO Headquarters from a new angle.
