The exhibition "Abu Rayhan Biruni: Geographical and Intellectual Journeys" at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris

The 1050th anniversary of the birth of the genius Abu Rayhon Beruni is being widely celebrated at international level, and these days the exhibition titled "Abu Rayhan Biruni: Geographical and Intellectual Journeys" is taking place at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris. The Permanent Delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Art and Culture Development Foundation of the Republic of Uzbekistan conducted the world premiere of a composition by the renowned composer Dmitry Yanov-Yanovsky at UNESCO headquarters on September 4th, 2023.

The composition "Zij - Music of the constellations" was created by the composer as a tribute to four great minds of the East: Al-Khwarizmi, Ibn Sina, Abu Rayhan Beruni and Mirzo Ulughbek. The performance by the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan was accompanied by 3D cartography, immersing the audience in the atmosphere of the great scientific discoveries and introducing them to new facets of Uzbekistan's historical and cultural heritage.
