After a few years with restrictions for the public – due to the Covid-19 pandemic – finally, Criança Esperança's show returns to a large stage. On August 7th, the traditional show will take place at Riocentro (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and broadcast on TV Globo throughout the country. This year, it will feature the participation of several attractions and the presentation of artists Ivete Sangalo and Marcos Mion.

Criança Esperança, an initiative by TV Globo in partnership with UNESCO, is an action to mobilize and invest in social projects developed by civil society organizations (OSCs), which benefits children, adolescents, and young people from all over the country. In its 38 years, the project has invested around BRL 445 million in more than six thousand social projects, reaching more than four million people in vulnerable situations.

In addition to being one of the country's most visible and recognized social programs, Criança Esperança is also a powerful communication tool for discussing important issues related to the social agenda. With the annual mobilization campaign, the initiative raises funds that are fully invested in social projects. In 2022, Criança Esperança selected 71 projects, which are being developed in the five regions of Brazil, and this year, it will benefit 101 projects.

A few years ago, the show stopped taking place in ample space and started to happen in smaller studios. With the COVID-19 pandemic, Criança Esperança occurred in a different format, without the audience's presence. Now, the program is back in full force in an arena that will receive thousands of people for this show of solidarity and hope.
