Mohammed Bila, trusted colleague of BIOPALT, passed

UNESCO is saddened to share the news of Mr. Mohammed Bila’s passing. Expert of the Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC), Mr. Bila worked with UNESCO to improve knowledge and peaceful management of resources, particularly water resources, within the framework of the BIOsphere and Heritage of Lake Chad project. We will miss his great professionalism, generosity and humanism. UNESCO, the Secretariat of the MAB Programme and the entire BIOPALT team extend their most sincere condolences to Mr. Bila's family.
