Join us for the OER Dynamic Coalition Webinar: "Empowering Persons with Disabilities Through OER and Digital Inclusion for the SDGs." This virtual event will take place from 16:00 to 17:00 CET on Zoom.

Celebrate the International Day for Persons with Disabilities by exploring the vital role of Open Educational Resources (OER) and Open and Distance Learning (ODL) in providing equal access to quality education for individuals with disabilities. Discover how these initiatives align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically focusing on Quality Education (SDG 4).

During this webinar, UNESCO will launch Revised guidelines on the Inclusion of Learners with Disabilities in ODL and showcases pilot projects using UNESCO ICT Competency Framework for Teachers (CFT) and the OER Recommendation for persons with disabilities. Engage with experts, educators, and advocates as we discuss practical applications and best practices.

The theme for the 2023 International Day of Persons with Disabilities is "United in action to rescue and achieve the SDGs for, with, and by persons with disabilities." This overarching theme underscores the global commitment to fostering inclusivity and accessibility for individuals with disabilities, harmonizing with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In this context, the role of Open Educational Resources (OER) is pivotal in ensuring that individuals with disabilities have equal access to quality education, directly aligning with SDG 4, which focuses on Quality Education.

UNESCO will launch the Revised Guidelines on the Inclusion of Learners with Disabilities in Open and Distance Learning (ODL). These guidelines are designed to provide a comprehensive framework for making ODL accessible and inclusive for all, including persons with disabilities. Our OER Dynamic Coalition webinar plays an integral role in this celebration, bringing together a diverse group of experts, educators, and advocates to engage in a dynamic dialogue.
