To build a global consensus on Open Science, the development of a UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science relies on an inclusive, transparent and consultative process involving all countries and all stakeholders. Guided by a multi-stakeholder Open Science Advisory Committee, the process is supported by a global Open Science Partnership and is expected to lead to the development of a vibrant Open Science community of practice across the world.

This report is presents a summary of the contributions provided through the online global consultation, which was conducted from February until July 2020, in the form of an online survey. The results of the survey will be considered by UNESCO in the development of the first draft text of the future Recommendation on Open Science.
