Background and objective

The UN-led Transforming Education Summit (TES) held in September 2022 established Greening Education as a major global initiative aimed at preparing every learner for climate resilience. 

This special session is dedicated to informing participants about UNESCO’s and UNICEF’s efforts in Greening Education and promoting inclusivity, which involves the development and implementation of various guiding tools and projects at national and regional levels. 

During this special session, panelists will share insights from consultations in the Arab Region regarding different draft guiding tools, such as the Green Schools Standard and Greening Curriculum Guidance.
