I condemn the killing of Golam Rabbani Nadim. Such attacks endanger freedom of expression and lead journalists to self-censor, depriving citizens of free and pluralistic information. I call on the authorities to continue their investigations to bring all the perpetrators to justice.

Nadim worked as a correspondent for Ekattor TV and Daily Manabjamin, and was also the Jamalpur local correspondent for the online media outlet Banglanews24.com. He was reportedly attacked by a large group of people armed with machetes and iron bars while he was returning home from work, and succumbed to his injuries the next day.
