In the framework of the official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan UNESCO Director-General Ms. Audrey Azoulay attended a Grand Gala Concert of the music cycle of the International Youth Festival under the patronage of UNESCO "The Planet of ART 2023".

The Concert was organized by the Kazakhstan National Federation of Clubs for UNESCO on 7th June 2023 in Astana city, bringing together the global musical culture and the creativity of local composers. The thematic concept was dedicated to the topic “Let’s Unite Hearts", where 42 laureates selected from more than 5 000 participants aged between 12 and 18 from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Russia, and Uzbekistan performed.

These young artists talented in vocal, instrumental and choreographic genres, represented their countries and acted as cultural ambassadors at the international platform of the project. Brilliant youth provided the audience with an unforgettable musical performance, demonstrating their artistic skills and professionalism.

A distinguishing feature of the project was the organizers' aim to connect with the youth through the promotion of contemporary art. The festival significantly contributes to the popularization of diversity of cultures and “culture for peace” concept.

UNESCO Director General Ms. Audrey Azoulay emphasized in her welcoming address: "I thank the Kazakhstan National Federation of Clubs for UNESCO for organizing this festival – and for its commitment to encouraging creativity and supporting young people. With more than 190 clubs and over 17,000 active members, the federation is one of the most active – and invaluable – members of UNESCO’s club movement."

This year, the final of the festival took place for the first time in the city of Pavlodar, with the second Gala Concert in Astana. The best team of mentors, directors, and choreographers worked with the laureates for 10 days, and a creative group of specialists from Astana, Almaty, Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Seoul was involved in the concert's preparation.

The musical cycle of "The Planet of ART – 2023" was dedicated to promoting the United Nations' declared International Year of Dialogue as a guarantee of peace.

It was noted by the President of Kazakhstan National Federation of Clubs for UNESCO Mr. Bolat Akchulakov that: "The key feature of all Federation’s programs is the completely free participation for all children and youth. In particular, “The Planet of ART 2023” was implemented thanks to the support of the project's General Partner – ERG, as well as Tengizchevroil and TotalEnergies E&P Kazakhstan."
