The UNESCO Regional Office in Bangkok is pleased to announce the roster of selected applicants and upcoming programme for an on-site workshop for regional professionals working in community-based tourism, ecotourism and green hospitality businesses in Cambodia, Lao PDR and Thailand.
The selected participants will join an international seminar, ‘Sustainable Gastronomical Experience in UNESCO Locales’, at Amari Bangkok Hotel, on Saturday, 3 February, before travelling to Nan Old City, in northeastern Thailand, for a four-day networking workshop featuring cultural field visits and multinational idea incubation.
The ‘Integrating Living Heritage’ workshop is a pilot phase activity of the umbrella project, ‘Achieving Sustainable Tourism with Intangible Cultural Heritage and Creative City Network in Waterway Cities of ASEAN’, which will comprise six online thematic seminars for tourism professionals in ASEAN countries throughout 2024.
The ‘Achieving Sustainable Tourism with Intangible Cultural Heritage and Creative City Network in Waterway Cities of ASEAN’ project is generously supported by DASTA, ASEAN-Türkiye Cooperation, K11, CRIHAP and ONYX Hospitality Group. UNESCO also collaborates with City Connext, b.Consulting Cambodia and The Thailand Community Based Tourism Institute (Thailand CBT-I).
