UNESCO's response to crisis

8 November 2023
8:45-9:45 in the Partnerships Hub (Hall Saxe)

Through a panel discussion, to hear both from beneficiaries and key partners of UNESCO, and with a moderator, the session will aim at demonstrating how strategic collaborations in crisis or transition contexts (conflicts, disasters, emergency response, post-conflict post-disaster recovery and reconstruction) could amplify the impact of UNESCO’s actions. The objective of the session will be to discuss UNESCO’s response and approach to the different type of crisis: emergency support and response to disasters, through the example of Li Beirut and early response to the recent floods in Libya, response to ongoing conflict in Ukraine, medium to longer term post-conflict/post-disaster recovery and reconstruction, through the Revive the Spirit of Mosul Initiative.

This session will be conducted in English.
