Through this forum, women district coordinators who are activists on issues of GBV prevention had an opportunity to share experiences and challenges of Gender Based Violence cases in their respective districts. On the other hand, it was also an opportunity for the government through the Ministry of Community Development, Gender Elders and Children to meet women activists and respond to some issues raised that hinder the implementation, including sharing existing mechanisms set by the government to report GBV cases. Moreover, the participants were sensitized with knowledge and skills on parenting as vital tool to reduce GBV cases within their districts.

We need to follow up on our children’s whereabouts and embrace the culture of talking friendly with our children to ensure they are safe and be able to detect their challenges at earliest stage
