The Futures of Education Ideas LAB space is designed to spark debate on emerging issues and fundamental questions concerning education, learning and knowledge in the 21st century.
The ideas expressed here are those of the authors; they are not necessarily the official position of UNESCO and do not commit the Organization.
About Ideas LAB
Ideas LAB highlights original scholarly and opinion pieces in line with UNESCO’s humanistic and human rights approach to education and development, as well as how education contributes to broader societal aims. The contributions aim to draw together the diverse expertise from UNESCO’s many partnerships at the research-policy nexus of international debate on education, as well as other fields including, from the sciences, communication & information, and culture that have a bearing on education. By casting a wide net for original ideas and drawing on interdisciplinary approaches, this Ideas LAB space aims innovate in forging a new social contract in education.
