World Cities Day 2023

UNESCO will celebrate World Cities Day 2023 through a variety of events and activities to be organized by the member programmes and networks of the UNESCO Cities Platform. This event programme showcases UCP’s broad and cross-cutting scope of action which provides multi-level stakeholders and partners with numerous opportunities for collaboration. It also highlights the need for efficiently mobilizing strategic investments in urban policies and infrastructures. Driven by a shared vision of a sustainable urban future, the UCP and UNESCO cities around the world are active actors for change towards a more sustainable future for all, within the framework of the 2030 Agenda, for the implementation of its Sustainable Development Goals, and beyond.
