The Global Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI)

The index examines the level of multidimensional poverty across 109 countries while also presenting an ethnicity/race/caste disaggregation for 41 countries. The measured dimensions of poverty include poor health, insufficient education and a low standard of living. Each of these categories is composed of related indicators, such as nutrition, years of schooling, drinking water and housing.
